JR's Seafood Shack

Fenwick Island

Well, one of our favorite places, Just Hooked, sold to this new restaurant. So going in we had high hopes because we loved Just Hooked so much. JR's was good, not great. We just got a few apps and shared. We had to try the calamari since that was one of our favorites at Just Hooked. It was good, but not as good as the calamari at the Hooked restaurants (Hooked in OC and Off the Hook in Bethany). They give you 2 sauces, the horseradish one was good but I'm not sure I like it on calamari. The other sauce didn't have much taste so I added hot sauce and it was good. The calamari was tender and very good. The steamed shrimp app was good but too heavy on the Old Bay in my opinion. Good portion though. The Deviled Eggs with crab meat were very good. Nice backfin pieces on top and inside the eggs. We'd probably go back but it won't be in the regular rotation.

Liquid Assets

I would never go into a restaurant named Liquid Assets except that my wife heard it was good.  Horrible name for a restaurant with good food.  Drinks, yes, but food, no.  We went in and found a very diverse varitey of offerings.  We settled on just getting a few apps to try a few things.  We got the Chicken Cacciatore, the Korean ribs and the Tuna Crisps.  All very good.  The Tuna Crisps was recommended by the waittress.  Fresh tuna on wonton crisps.  Very tastey.  The ribs were sweet and literally falling off the bone.  The highlight for us was the Chicken Cacciatore.  Not something we'd normally get, but I mentioned to my wife that my dad used to cook it and she said her mom also did.  So how could we not try it?  Delicious and a very good sized portion.  Actually, all of them were nice sized portions.  Three apps filled us up.  Definitely recommend this place.

Taco Reho

Rehobeth

Passing through Rehobeth, looking for something new to eat we came across Taco Reho right on Route 1.  From the outside you'd think it's like a Chipotle.  You walk in and see it's a very cool and different type of restaurant.  There is a counter to order, but we were directed to just sit down and use the app.  There's a DJ booth looking thing with a guy in there playing music I think. There's also a bar.  We ordered through the app and it took WAY to long to get the order in.  We received our food at the table and mine was wrong, but that may be because I ordered incorrectly in the app.  Either way, that was disappointing.  We got a shrimp burrito (wanted a shrimp bowl) and the daily special chili.  The burrito was good, but a little bland for what I'm used to.  The chilly was good but it was $5 or $6 for a fairly small cup.  I'd try it again but not rushing back with all the great food in that area.

Shotti's Pointe Restaurant

Ocean City

So if you have read my other restaurant reviews you have seen that we love Shotti's Point Cafe on the OC Boardwalk.  So we decided to try their restaurant on Coastal Highway near 35th Street.  Well, we were not disappointed.  I got the 1/2 Chicken entree.  Wow, a lot of food and very tastey.  The chicken was seasoned very well and cooked well although the breast was a bit dry.  It came with salad, rice and beans.  The salad came without dressing which was strange but once I tasted the very spicy beans and mixed them together it all worked.  My wife got the bib imbop.  Delicious.  Marinated beef, rice, veggies and Kimchee (which was also spicy).  All in all a great meal.  Looking forward to going back.  One caveat, it's not a quiet place, it's a bar and it was hopping when we were there.
